Just joined the forum to get a jump on some tips and tricks for the Mustang Floor. Seems like we have a pretty lively and intelligent community here with Fender Support chiming in quite a bit. I like that BTW.

Anywho about me.. I've been playing guitar about 30 years, am a working musician and have owned just about every major floor unit that has existed the past 20 years.

I ordered the floor after careful consideration and lots of reading and youtube watching.

I really need an all in one solution that can not only give me many sound options but also have good tone and dynamics. I am certainly no stranger to MFX units.

As of late I have bought and returned a ZOOM G3, ZOOM G5, POD HD500, and a BOSS GT-10 because none of them had everything I needed. Here's to hoping the hype is true about the Mustang floor! I'm looking forward to contributing here and picking your brains when I need to.

Good for you! You made a great choice.

I have a tip for you as a fellow MF user: Set your amp to the best clean sound you can get, then fine tune the MF bass and treble output using Utilities. In my opinion the default levels are off for a basic guitar amp. I had to set the Bass to 90% and Treble to 10% for my vintage Fender amps. In this way pedal and amp simulations work better. Cab simulations off!

Congratulations! And welcome to the Forum. I think the MF will be a great solution for you. I like mine so much I donated one to our church worship team and bought another one for myself. By all means, be sure to download the Fender Fuse software and get familiar with it. It will be a valuable asset for you and your Floor. Also, you will find many already made patches available on the Fender Fuse website. Each one is tweakable to your own taste with the software. Best of luck!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm hoping this is the one for sure. I have a few options to try it on but hoping to go direct to PA with it.

Next up if it does work is convincing our lead guitarist to buy one.. Getting tired of humping all the gear. Trying to really streamline the band rig these days as I'm getting old.

I had the POD HD500 Also.
I think the floor sounds better!
BUT!!! The floor can not touch the POD in terms of flexibility!
Sad, but very true!
But it usually come down to sound so ... the floor rocks!
I have the G3 also. I keep it on hand because of the ton of effects it has! It is a swiss army knife!
