Need more details. Did you install the fender ASIO driver?
Do you see other mustang in your sounfd devices? Search the forum heree for instructions, it's been asked several times and it easy but not trivial.

Fender's instructions to get you started: http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... -computer/

Have you ever ran able ton before (or any other DAW)? I know they have a learning curve too.

To avoid any ambiguity, which program's hardware setup option, what exactly is on the screen at the time, and what exactly do you click? Does what you see on the screen differ in any way (and if so what) from what's in the Fender instructions?

What exactly happens, what exactly do you see on the screen, what exactly do any error messages say?

Where exactly do you see it? Does what you see match exactly what's in the Fender instructions?

When I first open the program and click to configure inputs and click on hardware setup a box come up saying "windows is looking for a solution to the problem" then it just closes out. Yes the driver is what fender says. Fuse works just fine too.

Should I reinstall everything again? I've even tried going into safe mode to try and select hardware setup in preferences but it crashes in safe mode as well.

First, FUSE and its drivers are completely separate to Ableton and the ASIO driver. If FUSE works fine, there's no need to re-install that.

Second, if by "the program" you mean Ableton, it sounds like the Ableton installation is having problems. Before you just re-install it though, it's worth trying to understand what's going wrong - to prevent the same thing just happening again.

Can you configure Ableton successfully to use your computer's other audio devices?

Can you configure any other DAW successfully to use the Fender ASIO driver?

Did the Ableton installation correctly/successfully accept your product key?

Yes and I actually reinstalled it and the asio driver as i had nothing left to loose. When i click on hardware configure in preferences it still says "Ableton live lite has stopped working" then it just closes out. Not sure where to go from here.

Okay it seems the issue with it crashing is because I had the 64 bit one installed on my 64 bit system, so I installed the 32 bit and now I cant get into the hardware configre screen but I am not getting anything from the amp to ableton yet. Any advice how to get it set up to get signal from the amp to the program? I have used daws before but its been awhile.

Can you post details of what the final solution was, to help anyone else with a similar issue in the future?
