Today I powered on my amp and it sounded way off: I can rarely play in my house with the master above 3 on my default preset and I had to crank it to 5 to hear it at levels it used to sound at 1 or so. And it sounded really tinny and tiny, like when the master is barely up.

I then did a restore to factory (power up holding Exit) and now it's even worse: if I power it on while playing, it is loud a second or two after I power it up (probably needs time for the software to boot), then it immediately decays (volume gets softer and softer) over maybe 2 seconds, then no sound again. It feels to me like there is are "steps" to this volume decay, it's not a smooth full to nothing transition, but it's hard to tell.

The same occurs in the headphones.

I haven't tried the USB interface because it's not setup.

I tried 2 guitars and 2 cables. Nothing works on my MIII, all the equipement responds as normal on my MI

Did my mustang just go bad? What's the warranty and will I be stuck with large shipping expenses? I need to check if I can still return or exchange it with Musician's Friend or if I am past the return period.

While I'm at it, I can't figure out how to get warranty service on my amp.
I did find a list of service centers in my state. Do I simply drop it off at a service center (still a 30 miles car ride). Do I need to get a pre-autorization first?

It's been 28 days since I placed my order with Musician's friend (less since I've had the amp in my possession), so I think I am within their window. Can anyone confirm the amp is dead or am I suffering from a case of attack of the stupid?

OMG, that WAS an attack of the stupid.

EXP pedal got pushed to 0 volume by accident and I have barely started using it so I hadn't thought about it.

so relieved!

Oh, and I should have backed up my presets before the restore to factory defaults :)
Just an other excuse to download more presets and start over.
