Has anybody tried this? I'm thinking since the M1 has no effects return, that you would go in to the AUX. I'm thinking that should just use the M1's amp section. Right? That's what I want. I have a Mustang Floor and I'm thinking of getting an M1 for very small quiet gigs, but the M1 does not have enough flexibility. Anybody know if this would work?
Thanks.

Yes this should work. Points to note:

- Start with your M-Floor output level turned right down, and turn it up slowly until it's at the desired level. Don't plug everything together with all the dials on 11!

- The aux socket is a stereo jack. You'll need an appropriate cable/plugs to connect this to the L/R outputs of your M-Floor. Although of course you'll lose all the stereo-ness as the amp only has one speaker!

- Some people report the aux socket can be easily broken - it's plastic and mounted direct to the PCB (as opposed to a metal socket bolted to the chassis, as you'd find on more rugged amps). If you're going to be using it a lot, you may want to connect a short lead to the socket, and plug/unplug from the other end of this lead, to avoid messing with the socket on the amp too much.

Alternatively, if you get a V2 Mustang 1, I think that gives you the 'studio' preamp model. Select that, and turn all effects off, to give a clean signal path through the amp. Then you can use the amp's main input rather than the aux socket. Of course, this will only be mono so you'll connect to the appropriate mono output of your M-Floor.

Thank you Scott-Uk. I will heed your advice. This could would out well for what I need. Stereo is not an issue for me, and I can also send the MF's XLR out to the P.A. which would be great in this situation. Once again thanks.

I also recommend the second method, the studio preamp will not color your sound, but you can also emulate cabs in the M1 when using this method rather than using the Floor's cab emulation. The M1's cab emulation is tuned to its speaker so you might get high fidelity...
