Hello my friends I wanted to change my speakers on my mustang iv v2 amp to maybe some Jensen C12K's or maybe some weber 12's? Any help on how many ohms these are and what you guys recommend. Thanks

My first question is: why do you want to change the speakers? The amp already provides lots of different speakers, through its cabinet emulation. What different sounds do you want that the inbuilt speaker emulation (and other effects) don't provide? Until we know that, we can't recommend an option.

This question has come up before; I don't think I would be alone in suggesting the best 'recommendation' is not to change the speakers at all, but experiment more with what the amp already has.

For an accurate answer suggest you consult the specs on the manufacturers' websites.

I only use the 65 twin setting as i like the clean tones but it seems just to clean almost distorting clean. I have a real twin reverb with jensens and I have another with webers and both sound amazing but are really heavy so I wanted something lighter so I bought this amp. I play a bajo sexto through all my amps. A bajo sexto is a acoustic twelve string guitar tuned in octaves. It has a lot of lows and these speakers just can't handle the lows. That is another reason I wanna replace the speakers so I came here for some insight.

OK, that's the amp. What cabinet setting do you use with that amp? Have you tried all the different cabinet settings on the Mustang? Which one gets you closest to the sound you want? Again, you should exhaust all these before thinking about changing the actual speakers. The whole point of the Mustang is that the sound is configurable.

See this topic, which lists all the Mustang cabinet emulations and the actual speakers being emulated: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=73334
