I bought a Mustang 3 amp at a Labor Day sale a month ago. Right out of the box the master volume popped/crackled when turning it up from zero. Higher volumes are smooth. Also, with the master all the way down I can still hear sound. I have been ignoring it but has now become annoying. Would this be a physical issue (dirty pot etc) so I need to return the amp or something that I can correct (firmware etc); thanks.

If it's the master volume, then it's a hardware issue with the pot itself. Suggest you return the amp for exchange.

Ok, thanks. I set up a return. I should have the new amp in 4 days.
