Hi guys

Does anybody know if fender might consider upgrading the foot switch capabilities of the mustang II ?

and the most important thing, is it viable, or hoping for this to change is just waste of time?

i really wanted to do more than just switch between two presets =/

No replies because it's a question no-one can answer. Any reply will be pure speculation.

Fender are very tight-lipped about future products, as are most big companies.

All we can say is it seems likely there will always be entry-level models with limited features, and higher-end models with more features. Often the particular features included on each model going up the range aren't the ones we want. I can entirely see someone wanting a lower-powered amp like the Mustang 2, but with more footswitch control. However, Fender have chosen only to make that extra footswitch control available on the current Mustang 3 and above. If Fender ever do release further versions of the Mustang, who knows which models will have what footswitches - it could still be that you'd have to go up the range to get what you want. Or you might not.

So probably the best advice is: if you want/need the extra footswitching now, you have to buy a Mustang 3. If you don't need it now, then worry about it in the future when you do need it, based on what products are available at the time.

Not ideal and not trying to sound cliche' but just sayin. (sic) I use a cheap netbook (very small laptop) and have it connected to my Mustang 2 in my family room outside my studio for a very comfortable practice on my leather couch relaxed back with a nice pillow if I want to access a bunch of my patches via fuse using wireless mouse or keypad for scrolling.

Also, when just using the *foot switch* you can actually get three patches when you first turn on the amp but then only two after you leave the first patch. Capiche!
