greetings all
just wondering if i run my mustang v using xlr through my preamp be safe.then to my focusrite interface.

Hi j777,

I assume that you are referring to the balanced XLR line outputs on the back panel of your Fender® Mustang™ V head. If so, as line outputs you should be able to connect them to a standard audio interface that offers line level analog inputs. I would suggest that you turn the input level control on your interface down just to be safe. Then bring the level back up to set the overall input level so you have a good input signal without peaking.
