At this point in time I only want two sounds. One is a Clapton type sound and the other is a SRV type sound. So any help?

Try going through all the presents and find a tone that gets closet to what you want. Then go in and play around with the settings to get even closer. You could also look at the presets posted online via Fuse. There are several EC A and SRV presets there.

The bassman model should take you close enough. Consider that there are other factors. To me string gauge is a sensible one... .13 was his choice, cant sound the same with .8 or .9 that many kids uses!

Are you using fuse? Try a search in the fuse community library.

Intheblues has made both a SRV and a Clapton patch. Check them out if you can.

Thanks for the tips. I will check the FUSE as soon as I figure out how to use it.

morder74- ill check the Baseman setting. I get the string thing. Figure It would be best to learn more before going to stiffer strings though.

Some great advice above, get Fuse up and running, download and save ( I saved my to the Orange banks as this can only be done with Fuse).

Once up and running I found Fuse to be pretty straight forward. YMMV.

Ya, once you get Fuse working it will really open up the editing of the Mustang 1 as well as down loading patches from the community. Generally speaking I am software challenged and have no problem with Fuse. I find it very intuitive. Not saying I know what all the effects and settings do, just that it's not a difficult program to use.

I have a Mustang 3 so I can't really offer you any specific advise on how to control the parameters of your amplifier. However my understanding of the 1&2 are you really "need" to use Fuse in order to set up customs tones. I can reassure you that it's not hard to use though.

We are also very luck as these forums are frequented by some really helpful people. They really are excellent at explaining things. I have been able to get answers to So many of my questions/issues just by reading posts.

I am fairly confident the sound you are looking for is there.

Peace and good luck.
