We use the OnStage RS7500 amp stands on all our amps (Mustang IV, III, and Rumble Bass). This gives it the tilt it needs without lifting it so high that we end up getting cross-feed into the mics.

I have the On Stage stand, but I personally have never liked tilt-back stands for amps with top-mounted controls. The Mustang III is no exception, you have to lean way over to see the controls, and the LCD screen is almost unreadable. I keep thinking I'll build a foam-filled box out of plywood, about a foot tall, and put dampening feet on it, but so far I haven't gotten around to it.

Yeah I know what your talking about I have foam under the Mustang lll now and reading the LCD screen is a pain. I might just scrap the whole Idea of having one. It is better to have it tilting a little isn't it?

Picked up the OnStage RS7500 I like it :D Should work good with the Mustang lll, Fender Blues Junior Tweed NOS or the Peavey Bandit 112 Red Strip amps Looks good works great :D Now If I could only learn how to play the Les Paul Trad Pro, American Fender Deluxe Strat, American Standard Strat and Taylor Acoustic

I've got one of these from Quiklok:

The only issue is the crossbar at the top are narrow enough to fit into the open back of the MIII, so I have to make sure the crossbar is above the opening. As it turns out though, the angle works just fine for me, so in my case it's a good fit. :D

I use an aluminum step stool offered by Harbor Freight. It cost me $20 with a coupon. It is perfect size for the MIII, raising it about 1 ft. and you can see the LCD perfectly. Plus if folds up fairly compact.

I'd say just use a chair but then we'd get into the whole open-back closed-back chair debate.

I have four different amp stands: folding/L-arm stands (from QuickLok, OnStage, and ProLine) and a tripod stand. If you need height, get the L-arm type and check out the width dimensions from rail-to-rail so you don't end up carrying a bridging shelf to fit the amp or fit it evenly because of the amp/cab feet. Also, the rails/arms may interfere with rear connections on the m3v2, since the efx jacks and power connection and on/off switch are located near the edges of the chassis. Maybe some more users can get more specific about the PITA issues of sitting the M3v2 on the stand they use.

If you don't need the amp raised more than inches off of the floor (which is all you need for the M3v2 to project well, indoors or outdoors), or don't have controls/connections in/near the center of the back of the amp or cabinet (not the situation for the M3v2), a tripod stand works fine with the M3v2. I've found the Musician's Gear tripod to be sturdy, portable/compact, quick and convenient setup with useful angle adjustment.

If you read the user reviews, there are obviously some poorly-designed tripods by otherwise well-respected stand manufacturers. Read the reviews.

This seems like a lot of commentary about a simple accessory but it's a piece of gear that makes a difference and the small setup and use issues can be memorably irritating.
