I just got my Mustang iii and I generally use just one custom setting. I would like to save this setting so that it comes on when I turn on my amp on stage, so I don't have to fiddle with anything on a usually fairly dark stage. I don't use the 001 setting at all, so would not care if it was missing. Does this sound like it would work? Thanks.

Yes, what you want to do does indeed work. However you want to save it to the "00" preset memory channel. That is the one that comes up when you first turn the amp on. I have basically done the same thing. I have a 65 Twin Reverb clean with Reverb on in "00", then in "01" I have the same thing with Reverb and Tremolo on, then in "02" the same with Reverb and Chorus on, rather than Tremolo, then in "03" I have a nice crunchy '59 Bassman and in "04" I have an overdriven Super Sonic for long, creamy sustain. Those are my five "go-to" settings that handle about 95% of what I do. Altogether I have about 25 personally customized patches in the 00 to 24 but only go to the others when I'm noodling by myself.

Thanks Lynn. It sounds like your settings are pretty close to what I prefer. And I also understand the noodling by yourself. The different sounds on this amp are kinda addicting.
