Anyone else experience this? You're plying and everything sounds normal when all of a sudden you get this loud burst of noise about a second or so. This happens to me about once a day. Not a huge deal unless it starts happening more often. But i'd like to know what it might be. I'd hate to have to take it in, as around here theres never less than a month or 3 wait at any of the shops in L.A. Is this normal for the mustang V2 or do i have a problem? I know someone else with the same amp and his does it too, tho sometimes a lot more often. I've updated the firmware and even tried a factory restore then updating again to no avail.

This exact (I think) issue happened to me on my Mustang II v2 on one patch I had created. ”57 Twin Time and Money…again”

I’d be playing and get blasted out of nowhere with what I can best describe as a few frames of white noise. As soon as I swapped the amp model used to the 65 Twin it went away.

Yep, thats the sound. I wondered if it could be on a certain model, but i never noticed if it was happening on a certain one or not. I only have about 3-4 models i use most of the time, but the 57 twin IS one of those. If it IS a certain model that does it then at least you know it's not a amp issue. Just that fender needs to fix the firmware for the problem model(s).

Well, i think thats it....the 57 twin. I played about an hour tonite using several models including the 57 twin and it made that noise once, and it was while using the 57. So i think fender may have a software issue with that model. I know someone who had the same problem so i'll ask him if he recalls what model it was and to keep notes if he can't remember. If it was also the 57 with his amp then we can truly be sure thats it.

that's good to know. Thanks for sharing. I thought i might be the only one that had that issue. I wonder if it has to do with a using a stomp in conjunction with this amp model, in my case i had tried Fuzz and the Blackbox i believe. I don't think i ran into the issue using it for a clean tone. Either way, I agree, now that it appears to be a legitimate bug/issue, it probably can be fixed with a firmware update.
