I Just bought a new Mustang III v2 and I would like to put another amp model in the 00 slot so that when I turn on the amp it will automatically show the amp mod I want.
What are the steps to do this?

s :D

It's easy... select the preset you like... copy it over to that number and it'll be there. You can do it right on the amp itself... no need to go into fuse 8)

Since you are asking this i assume you also have not unlocked the amp.The amp by default is in locked mode so you won't be able to save it there till you unlock it. Press the utlility button a number of times till you see tha page with memory lock or something like that. When there, turn the data wheel till it says it's not locked. Once you do that you'll be able to do it as the poster above me described.

Thanks guys. I've unlocked the amp in utility. I go to the amp mod I want,I push the big wheel but I don't see anything that tells me where to move a mod to a spot.
Thanks for your patience,

Go to the preset you want, then press SAVE once.

Now use the 'big' wheel (variously called the data wheel or encoder) to select where you want to save it - 00 in your case.

Then press SAVE again.

I strongly suggest you download and read the Advanced Manual for your amp. It explains all this and a lot more. You can get it here:

It is actually more complicated to describe how to do it, than to actually do it lol.

That was one of the first things I did, too. Liquid solo is a good preset, but way too loud and feedbacky to be the default. I saved a preset I made using the '59 Bassman model to 00, and now I'm not diving for the master volume with one hand and muting the strings with the other every time I turn it on.

01 became my go to clean sound, after I changed that, too. Just reamped Country Deluxe to use the '65 twin, tweaked the eq a tad, and added vintage tremolo (defaulting to off). Works well with my strat or Tele, AND with my Schecter and Gibson guitars.

Hi,
I am arrived too late in the mini-debate and i see that the problem is solved by now ...
but the easiest thing of all (after to have unlocked memory) was probably, change the amp model and its various settings (and effects) on the default preset (00) and then save directly on it, those changes :) , wasn't it?
(unless it was important to save somewhere else the original preset 00)

Dimitri
