I'm not sure if I have a problem with my mustang 3 v2 amp. or, if it is just something I am doing wrong.
I was trying out different settings searching for a particular sound using only the amp display and not the Fuse software.
I played around using a selected amp model and adjusting every setting available through the Mustang control panel eventually I decided to start again using a different amp. model.
I didn't save or cancel the settings I had set, I just turned the main dial to access the different amp style but, I lost all sound I twiddled the dial again and tried the foot switches (I am using both the 2 and 4 together) everything seemed to be working as it should except the sound.
I turned the amp off and on again and it worked fine I carried on playing with the settings and this happened again several times turning the amp off and on always cured it.
I have only had the amp 6 months and for various reasons have not been able to use it much it hasn't even been moved around and it has only been used at low volumes.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what might be causing this, either something I could be doing or, if it might be a fault it would be very helpful to me so that I might deal with it whilst the amp is still under warranty.
I have looked in the forums but, not as yet found a similar problem reported.

This doesn't seem likely to be an amp fault. A couple of things to check:

When you say "turned the main dial to access the different amp style" do you mean that you were trying to select a different amp model within the same preset, or that you were trying to select a different preset?

In both cases, are you quite sure you were at the right place in all the settings / menus to do, what you wanted to do? So, for the former, you have to press and hold the AMP button until the amp name is highlighted. For the latter, press EXIT until you get back to the main preset display. If you're in the wrong place and just turn the main dial, you will change some other setting - which could possibly silence the amp if you don't know what you've changed.

Another possibility is that you've inadverently put the amp into 'tuner' mode. That silences the amp.

Whatever the cause, once the amp is silent, press EXIT as many times as necessary to get back to the main preset display. Then turn the main dial one 'click' to change preset. You should see the two-digit number at top-left of the LCD display change (as well as the preset name etc). If this number doesn't change, then you haven't changed preset.

Assuming you haven't saved any of your changes, you should now get sound from this newly-selected preset. Further, turning the main dial one click the other way, to get back to the previous preset, should restore that to its original settings (because you didn't 'save' any of your changes) and give sound, even if you'd inadvertently changed something in that preset earlier.

If none of the above helps, then: From your post, it sounds like you can reproduce this problem at will. Please list EXACTLY what you do, every button press and dial-turn, from turning the amp on until it goes silent, and EXACTLY what you see on the LCD screen at each stage. Then please also list EXACLTY what do you do, from the suggestions above, once the amp has gone silent, and what result you get at each stage. That will help people on this forum understand what you're doing and what's happening on your amp, and thus enable them to offer you useful suggestions to fix the issue.

Thank you for the reply,
I was trying to select a completely different preset. Also, it didn’t indicate tuner mode on the Mustang screen.
As I turned the dial and left the preset I had been playing with, different presets were shown on the screen but there was no sound. (Just to ensure we’re both on the same page the presets I’m referring to are the 100 that you can scroll through with the selection wheel) I will have to try and make it happen again and follow your suggestions.
Something that has occurred to me since my post but, I don’t know if it is possible for this to happen when you select a different preset. I was also adjusting the various controls such as base treble etc. maybe I had bypassed the Master and the reason there was no volume was because the volume knob was probably turned right down as it is when I use “readymade” presets. When I next get the time to experiment, it will probably sometime during the coming week, I will leave a message here just to let people know my findings.
