Based on specs, what are the most neutral ML settings when using it as an FX unit? I mean Utility EQ settings.

I'd like to just add some distortion, reverb and chorus to great clean sounds I have on my vintage Fender amps.

just configure studio preamp as the amp emulation and PA as voicing over both stereo outputs.

also adjust the floor output level to something friendly with the amps you plan to use. as a reference when the level dial is at noon, that is unity gain.

# Preset Name
80 Basic Pedal Set 1
81 Basic Pedal Rock
82 Basic Pedal Blues
83 Basic Pedal Floyd
84 Basic Pedal Rbily
85 Basic Pedal Crazy
86 Basic Pedal WahOD
87 Basic Pedal Nasty
Unless you have replaced Preset Memory slots 80-87, they already exist on your MFloor as noted above. Try them, tweak them, and then copy the most commonly used one to memory slot #00 and your Floor will boot to it every time you power it on. If you need more than one set of pedals, simply tweak them, add/change stomp boxes, etc. and move them into slots 01, 02, etc. Using Fuse software will make life easier and you can rename them to anything that makes the most sense to you.

Thanks for the tips!

I found out that with my 1965 Princeton the MF sounds best with Combo+Bass setting and usually all amp simulations off. It requires a bit editing then.
The FX pedal presets at #80-87 work nicely too! Unfortunately the Mustang doesn't have more overdrive or distortion simulations. I get a cool TS-808 kind of sound.

WOW! I found even better settings - Combo+Bass (Bass 100%, Treble 0%). Now I get really GREAT sounds that work nicely with my old Princeton. Even amp modelings sound good.

Tomorrow I test them with a Bassman :D

Makes sense. Princeton is a very middy amp, no bass.
In the case of bassman is a more flat response amp I think. Will probably sound better than the Princeton

My Princeton is not middy. It has a 12" Eminence Red Fang Alnico speaker. In my opinion the MF lack bass by default - maybe Mustang power amps are bass heavy?

Hi folks,

I found this in the fine print of the Floor manual under "Utility Menus", it might help:

"For the best results when connecting the Mustang Floor into the
INPUT jack on a guitar amplifier (rather than the power amp
input), set your amp as clean as possible using a low gain setting
and start with your BASS and TREBLE tone controls turned down
and your MID tone control turned up, then adjust as needed."

At home I run the Floor Unbalanced Out (Combo Amp voicing) --> Fender Mustang III Input (Studio Pre-Amp modeling with flat EQ) and those seem to play nicely together.

Mike
