I'm playing my guitar using the modeled amps in Garageband 10.0.2 and a set of headphones. Can I unplug my headphones and plug in my Mustang III and play thru it? How would I do that? What setting (preset?) would I set the amp to? Thanks

If you just want to use the Mustang as a power-amp, without any of its modelling or effects, you can connect your PC's headphone-out socket to the aux-in socket on the Mustang.

If you do want to use the Mustang's effects / modelling, then you'll need to connect your PC's headphones out, via a stereo-to-mono-mixer, to the guitar input on the amp. (Some people don't bother with a proper mixer for this sort of thing, and just connect both stereo output channels to the mono input; that will work but isn't ideal).

If you do the latter, and want minimal amp colouration from the Mustang, then I'd suggest selecting the '65 Twin' model and keep the Mustang's 'gain' control low.

Thanks Scott.

I've been using the new version of Garageband 10.0.2 to record my guitar. Some of the new amp modeling sounds very good. I'd just like to hear them cleanly through the Mustang amp. I have my guitar plugged into a USB port (using a Rockband cable) on the MBP.
