I was told if I bought myself a guitar my now wife said she would buy me an amp. I always considered myself a drummer, but I learned a few songs growing up on my brothers guitar. I was totally blown away by the technology for a hundred bucks (remember drummer here). It was just something for me to play around with on my days off and all I was thinking was I wanted some gain, reverb and chorus. Uh, yeah, it comes with a little more than that. Then I discovered ableton lite that came with it and started writing songs. Which I had done in bands prior, but not by myself. I did basement recording with a shoestring budget and it is great to do that because there is no pressure along with the fact you can experiment all you want. My point is, that because of this tiny amp I was able to write songs which in turn I decided to go to the studio with one of them recently. The thing was though, is that I was set on my sound I got running my Mustang I through ableton and actually tracked the guitars at home except for the solo. Needless to say the guy that owns the studio was skeptical about being able to use those tracks, but he was blown away by the quality I was able to get from this 100 dollar amp. And the speaker is great for practicing. Just wanted the guys at Fender who designed this amp that I really appreciate what you've done. Thanks! You can listen here on youtube;

Hi tdubya21,

We are very happy to hear that the amp has worked out so well for you. And the song sounds really good as well. Please let us know if there is anything we might assist with from our end. And keep enjoying the amp and creating cool tracks.

Best Regards,

Alan

Also a drummer here, for 28 years now I have done over 40 official albums + EP`s and DVD`s with different bands, and have been touring since 1995. Started to play guitar 10 years ago now ca. Recently purchased the Mustang V2 head, using a 4x12 Marshall cab and its loud and sounds great!

I did a studio recording a couple of years ago only using a Roland Microcube -6" version (the smallest one), and the guitarsound from that little thing just ripped (metal style).. Also placed it in a small room with tiles using one SM57 ca 2" away from the speaker with surprisingly good results on distortion guitars..
