Still learning the details on all the features and controls and trying a few mods to the green and red presets.

But I've noticed from the beginning that the bottom two amber presets are WAY louder than the rest of the amber presets. Some of the amber positions are downright soft on volume. Is this the normal setup?

Second issue I just noticed yesterday when I decided to just fool around and adjust volume and gain controls to a couple of amber presets. After turning and activating those knobs and adjusting up and down, those presets became dead. The only way to bring them back was either do the factory preset restore or at the least just turn the amp off and back on. Is it normal for a factory (amber) preset to die if adjustments are made to it?

I did find that adjusting an amber position then pressing save jumped the light over to the adjacent green position for saving, which makes sense. But the way the ambers died out if simply adjusted seems strange.

Do I have a problem, or is all this normal for a stock Mustang 1 V2 that hasn't been modified by Fuse or any other software?

I copied this out of the Advcanced Manual for Mustang I-IV V2:

"The RED and GREEN banks are for creating your own presets. The AMBER bank of presets can only be modified using Fender FUSE software available free at https://fuse.fender.com.

I can confirm from my own experience that by using the Fuse software you can indeed modify the existing patches in the Amber bank and even copy completely different presets into each one. The Fuse software, if you haven't tried it, is not difficult to use. Just a few quirky aspects to using it, but not bad at all. You can also download presets from the Fender Fuse website, some of which might meet your needs as they are, but can also be tweaked to your liking in the Fuse software.

Thanks. Yeah, one of the first things I did was print the applicable parts of the advanced manual.

Still curious as to the different volume levels for some of the amber presets. However, since I posted the first set of questions the issue of factory presets "disappearing" if I adjusted any knobs other than the Master has gone away. So its just still some factory presets are way loud while others are way low, and some are medium levels. Nothing the Master knob doesn't fix, just curious if its normal for the factory presets or a quirk of my amp.

Everything works pretty much as advertised. Just need to keep playing around and create a couple of personal presets just the way I want them to sound.

This has been discussed at length before on this forum, but briefly yes this is 'normal' - there is nothing wrong with your amp. Different factory presets do seem to have been set with different overall volumes. What quite a few people do is just go through all the presets they want to use (using FUSE) and adjust all the volumes to be similar, or whatever each person wants - eg you might want some to be louder than others, if you use those for your solos and want a volume boost on them.
