I found the preset-list for the Fender Mustang 2 v2 here I have saved presets that I have downloaded in the green and red banks. I am a little confused. Which of these 24 banks are then the 8 I have left that can not be replaced? And which of them are counted as a clean preset and can be used best With pedals. (I have just bought a Joyo Sweet Baby Overdrive and a Joyo Deluxe Crunch)
Or are there som great presets that can be downloaded that wil be even better for this use?

Hello,

The Bank that cannot be overwritten on the fly is the amber presets. I believe those are Presets 00-07. You can edit and overwrite those but only through the Fuse app. All the presets you save can be clean, smelly or whatever you wish. The color of the LED does not dictate what style preset it is. My logic is typically to have my cleans on the green, smelly ones on the amber bank, and presets with a little more gain on the Red. But that’s just me.

Hope that helps.

In the red and green banks I have saved some presets that I have tought for special riffs I have been thinking of learning. These presets are:

Sweet Child of Mine (Guns N Roses)
Still got the Blues (Gary Moore)
Smooth (Santana) (2 presets)
Deep Purple (Smoke on the water)
Satisfaction (Rolling Stones)
Walk this Way (Aerosmith)
Eye of a Tiger (Survivor)
Cocaine (Eric Clapton)
Crazy Train (Ozzy Ozbourne)
Beat It (Michael Jackson)
Brown Eyed Girl (Van Morrison)
Back in Black (AC/DC)
Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin)
And a David Gilmour and a Clapton preset that I think you recomended in another thread. (Is the last one a preset you would use for Claptons Wonderful Tonight and Leyla by the way?)

The first 8 presets on the list is these (But since I dont have much experience with amps and pedals and things like that, I dont know what is suitable for what):

#Preset Name- Amp Model-Stompbox-Modulation-Delay-Reverb
0.Brutal Metal II-Metal 2000-None-None-None-None
1.Super-Live Album-Super-Sonic-None-None-Tape-Large Hall
2.Liquid Solo-Metal '90s-None-None-Tape-Small Hall
3.Aussie Rock-Brit '80s-None-None-None-Small Hall
4.British Invasion-Brit '60s-None-None-None-Large Plate
5.Touch of Reverb-'65 Twin-None-None-None-65FenderSpring
6.Bassman Drive-'59 Bassman-None-None-None-Small Room
7.Neil Deluxe-'57 Deluxe-None-None-Tape-63FenderSpring

As I understood, you could not directly owerwrite the amber ones, but you could save a Version of them to either of the green or the red banks. I tried to owerwrite one from the amber bank via Fuse, but It ended up overwriting my preset on one of the green banks.

I had hoped one of the amber ones could be used as starting point for use With my New pedals.
Buy the way I am for the time being more impressed by sound of the presets I have downloaded than the two Joyo pedals I just bought. That may be because the presets sound nice rightaway, and the pedals need more fine tuning (which I have not had the time to do)

When you make or alter a preset, you click on the media library and highlight said preset. If you right click and choose “Save Preset to Amp” you should get a pop up that will allow you to choose exactly which slot to save it to regardless of Green, Amber, or Red.

Give that a try.

Nice :) I will try so. I am afraid there will be no original presets left on the amp when I am done with it, if its possible to save on all the red banks too :D

Any good suggestions to preset that will sound Nice With overdrive pedals?

I’ve had great luck with just about every model I’ve tried using a Joyo Ultimate Drive and a Rat. I especially like the 65 Deluxe for the Ultimate drive and the EC Tremolux from intheblues (Based off the 57 Champ) which I’ve tweaked a tad to add some light chorus and delay. Works really well too.

I don’t think you can really go wrong. The only type of pedal I’ve not had much success with is Fuzz pedals but I’ve been meaning to get hold of another and try one with the EC Tremolux preset since to my ears, it worked the best with the Mustang Fuzz so I’ve been meaning to see what it does with other fuzz type pedals.

I've had pretty much the same experience. OD and distortion pedals work well with all the models (v1 MIII), fuzz (Swollen Pickle) not so much.

I'm honestly not convinced that its the amp though. I'm a real fuzz newb, and I should probably try again . There's 5 friggin knobs on that pedal plus 2 internal trim pots...

The '65 twin preset I made really sounds great with the '78 Distortion pedal, and I find myself using that combo a lot!

Otoh, the OCD loves my Bassman preset. With my SG or Schecter, I can make that thing ROAR!

I'm not sure which annoys the neighbors more- the sound of this amp- or the sound of me giggling away madly like a schoolgirl, when I stumble upon the latest epic sound.

Thanks for that. I've been looking for a couple of hours for just that info.
The amp manual says:
Quote:
You can modify the AMBER bank of presets by using your computer and Fender® FUSE™ software available at http://www.fender.com/support.
No joy there.
Then, the fine print in the FUSE 2.0 manual, "Media Library" section, says only :
Quote:
PRESET LIST — This list shows the presets available in the selected Media location {B}. Right-clicking on any preset provides a dynamic list of load, save, copy and delete functions.
Arrrrgh!
They need to add big bold blinky text that says "including saving to the Amber bank".
