Was in Guitar Center on Monday looking to trade in my Blues Junior III I originally was going to get a M III but saw the Mustang IV Ver 2 was on sale for $419.... 20 minutes later it was a done deal :D, I'm glad I got the M IV because I love the feel of 2x12 speakers pushing some air and the MIV does that no problem.

I've had the MIV ver 1 a couple of years ago and also had the MIII V2 last year so I have enough experience with the Mustang amps to get me going quickly, I dialed in a nice 59 Bassman for my clean/semi clean tone and a Brit 80s pushed with OD for my Rock tone and a little Reverb & delay to enhance the tones... now I'm ready to rock.

These really are fun amps to play I'm glad I picked this up again!!

You'd have to be nuts not to own a Mustang amp. I'm a bass player and don't play guitar, but I love the Mustangs. For something cheaper and easier to use, the Champion 40 is killer. 8)

MIV is a great amp; plays anything, anywhere. Sounds a great deal, as well.

jya.. that's a great price..

I got mine for $299 (but it's the v1) but I love it/

Also have the v1 MIII, and it's great amp, (I either don't have the FIZZ or I don't hear it)

the III is way easier to move but the IV roars,, these are great amps. lots of fun but they have seriously good sounds.

as linnin says, you have to be nuts not to be nutz about these amps.

Used the amp with my band last night and over all I was happy with the tones I got, had to fine tune the 3 presets I made but that was expected. This amp can certainly fill a room with ease it's got plenty of power and no shortage of low end thump if you need it.... just have to break in those speakers a bit so I will crank this amp for a few days!

When I had a MIV Ver1 the Fizz was very faint you really had to listen for it but it never bothered me, the MIII is a little power house as well and a breeze to move around and so far the MIV is really not that heavy its only 47 lbs which is light for a 2x12 combo.

I use an M4 v2 for gigging. My other guitar player uses a mesa boogie 2-12 combo. I never have any problem cutting through or sounding as big as he does on stage. At the end of the night, I use one hand to put my amp in the truck, while he grunts lifting that 100lb beast of his.

I'll still keep my tube amps, but I haven't gotten them out for a gig since I bought the Mustang.
