Hi guys,

So I just bought the Mustang I V2 Amplifier the other day and when I plug the power in it works but when I plug in my new lead into the input it makes a loud sound, I plug my guitar in and it doesn't make a difference and it doesn't pick up any guitar playing.

I know that my guitar wiring is fine because I have it working with the Rocksmith lead that plugs into my computer. On the back on the amp it says 220-240V 70W on it and I figured because I was using a 250V power cord for it that was the problem but I asked the guys at the store I bought it from and they said that it shouldn't be a problem.

The amp that I got was the last one they had in stock and was the one that was on display and so when I bought it the guy forgot the power cord and when I went back today to get the cord they gave me a 250V cord. I am planning on going to the store again tomorrow and take the amp and my guitar and hopefully get it to work there. Not sure what the problem is.

I'd appreciate any help I can get, thanks.

You've got the right Mustang for Aus mains and the right cord.

Stupid questions: Is the volume control on your guitar turned up? Have you plugged your guitar into the FTSW input instead?

Yeah volume is fine on the guitar and plugged into the input port not the other one. It may be the lead even though it is new I don't know, guess I will find out today.
