Regarding the Fender "Artists Series" presets announced here:

http://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=93533

Hmmm, 9 out of the 15 are "Metal" presets and the rest are basically "Country/Americana". Well, I know that Blues/Blues Rock music is (and has been) slipping back into obscurity but I'll bet there are more than a few of us that would still like to see at least some artists presets by the likes of (in no particular order):
  • Joe Bonamassa
  • Kenny Wayne Sheppard
  • Gary Clark Jr.
  • Davy Knowles
  • Jason Elmore
  • Luke Dickinson
  • etc.
Then again, maybe Fender's marketing people are ready to throw dirt on the grave of this genre and introduce the next series of Fender amps labeled "Twilight" as well as pointy headstock guitars.

OK, I know that is a pretty snarky statement and I don't really have anything against metal music but I am feeling a bit grumpy this morning and letting my age show as there seems to be something wrong with this picture to me.

Flame on...
