I have been using the Mustang III V2 for about six months, now.

I love it so much, I went out and bought a Bronco for recording my bass.

I have something that's been a bit of a stickler for me.

I live in an apartment and I would like to set all of the presets to the same volume level. I'm not talking about turning nobs. I'm talking about being able to go from one preset to another without blowing the walls out.

Is there anyway to level off all the different presets so that they're not all over the place?

Thanks for any help,

Michael

just need to edit each preset, and adjust the amp volume (not the master) -- the one near the Gain control -- then once you are "close" for the presets use, just save it.

then as you go thru your presets, the volumes should all be more or less consistent.

I have arranged the presets that I like the most in the first 10 slots or so.
and they are all leveled off, or close to it.

But if you want to adjust ALL of them (00->99 presets),, that will be a bit of a PITA I guess. If you have the time, it's just a matter of doing it for each one.

If you'll do a search on this forum you'll find all kinds of answers of how different people deal with the volume thing.

Lol, volume was the main reason I put my favorite Bassman preset in the default position. I got tired of my amp bellowing at the top of it's lungs every time I turned it on. Liquid Solo is a great preset, but jeez- did it HAVE to be the default? ( I now wish I'd saved it somewhere else- like over that yucky WTF preset- instead of simply overwriting it...)

But, like he said, just use the volume knob to turn down overly loud presets. And raise up too quiet ones.

And tell any cranky neighbors to be grateful you don't play drums!

I DO play the drums, also! LOL

Seriously, thank you for your answers. I have taken to writing down ALL the settings on the presets I create (I like some of the factory presets) and I have moved three 'clean" sounds, three distorted "rhythm" sounds, and three "lead" sounds into the first nine positions (00-08).

I have them set up to be very easily accessible by the foot switches.

The volume level issue is one I have dealt with exactly as you said; it is a PITA but, it is the only way I've found to do it.

I don't know why Fender didn't just make all the levels (it's all "sampling", right?) even to begin with.

Anyway, thank you for all the answers.

Peace,

Michael

Hi Michael,
However not even Roland / Boss for example, evens out volumes of its "patches" (I can't stand that name), or better to say the presets: there have always been large fluctuations in volume between a preset and another!
