Hi all,

Possibly a strange question but let me try to explain.

I have an Egnater Tweaker 15 which I am very happy with, but recently I bought a Mustang Floor to give me some more tonal options, without having to buy a second amp.

I plugged the Mustang output into the FX Return of the Tweaker with excellent results... so effectively I am using the Tweaker Power Amp to amplify the signal from my Mustang.

What I'd now like to do, is to use the be able to switch between the Mustang, and the Tweaker Pre-amp in a convenient way.

What I was wondering is this: can I connect the Tweaker FX Send, to the Mustang FX Return, which would leave the Mustang standard input available for my guitar?

This would give me one of two signal paths, depending on whether I wanted sounds from the Tweaker or the Mustang:

Guitar > Mustang Input > Mustang Output > Tweaker FX Return

Guitar > Tweaker Input > Tweaker FX Send > Mustang FX Return > Mustang Output > Tweaker FX Return

This would give me control over the whole system by enabling/disabling the FX Loop on the Mustang.

Sorry I know its quite confusing.... I think it boils down to whether the Mustang FX Loop can accept the line level signal from my Tweaker FX Send, and also whether the tone is coloured unacceptably, even with modelling and effects all turned off.

Thanks for any help or advice you can give me. Cheers.

I'd go with
Guitar > Tweaker Input > Tweaker FX Send > Mustang input > Mustang Output > Tweaker FX Return

You can then use the tweaker foot switch to bring the floor in and out of the signal.
The only down side to this is that you would always have the tweaker preamp in the signal path. Its the only way I can think of without using an A/B box.

Ah unfortunately there's no footswitch with the Tweaker 15.

The signal route you specified works really well when using the Mustang as an effects pedal for the Tweaker. My point is that if you could use the Mustang fx loop return rather than the Mustang input, then would also have the option of 'disconnecting' the Tweaker, and playing through the Mustang by plugging a guitar into the Mustang input.

You might be onto something with the A/B box.... I may just have to go that route in the end.

My ultimate aim is to have a looping pedal after everything, in order to create jams using a mix of all the sounds available through.....

pedalboard + tweaker preamp + tweaker poweramp
mustang + tweaker poweramp

Lots of creative possibilities with that setup.
