I recently picked up a Peavey Valveking 212 which I really like but have been contemplating various options for adding an effects processor to it. I also have a G-Dec 3 which I'm happy with as well and am leaning towards getting a Mustang Floor so I can leverage my experience using the Fuse software.

Anyway, my question has to do with a possible configuration I may want to set up with the Floor and the Valveking. Is it possible to setup the following:

Guitar->MF (OD sim)->VK PreAmp->VK FX Send->MF Post PreAmp Effects(Delay, Reverb, Chorus, etc..)->VK FX Return->VK Power Amp-> Speakers.

In other words I want to take advantage of the over drive pedal sims in the Mustang Floor then feed the resulting signal into the Valve king tube preamp then feed that signal back into the Floor unit via the VK effects loop for timing based effects I don't want to go through the VK preamp.
If this is possible how would the connections and presets be configured on the Floor unit?

Keep in mind I haven't purchased a Floor unit yet.
I'm also fully aware I can just use the preamp sims built into the Floor instead of using the the VK preamp, in my mind this is an added bonus.

Unfortunately what you want to do isn't possible with the Mustang Floor. The M-Floor's fx loop comes BEFORE all its effects and amp modelling. You can't change this, you can't have some effects before the Mustang's fx loop and some after it.

So you either have to have the M-Floor in-line between the guitar and amp input, and thus have all the M-Floor's effects before your valve amp; or put the M-Floor in the amp's fx-loop (amp-fx-send to M-Floor input; M-Floor output to amp-fx-return) and have all the M-Floor's effects after valve amp's pre-amp and before its power amp.

There are some multi-effects units that let you do exactly what you want; they cost a lot more money. I guess Fender chose a particular set of features to include at a particular price point.

Thanks Scott-uk, honestly I would've been surprised if it had been possible but I had to ask so I can make an informed decision about buying one.
