Could Fender make the Mustang III v2 with a remote control? Sure would save a lot of getting up and down to change presets, etc, etc. Any comments about this? Does anyone think this would be something that would work? Maybe it could be the size of a car key fob.

Thought control - that's what we need.
Hey.. I wonder how many years before that really is possible...

Or more down to earth, let it take several expression pedals.. or a little portable controller you could attach to guitar that has 2 or 3 knobs to control chosen values. Me, I can barely manage a wah...

Okay...you have me confused now. I NEVER touch my amp during performances. Between the two button switch used to move through my stored presets and the four button switch to turn effects on and off why would you ever need to mess with your amp during a performance?? I just set the master volume during sound checks and I'm good to go for the rest of the night.

does your audio equipment use wifi?

The previous suggestion regarding bluetooth was to use it with Fender FUSE to make changes to presets.

What O.P. above is suggesting is a small controller to use instead of pedals. Like this, but with buttons to choose QA presets, etc. just like the 4-button controller.

I can see how this could be useful for bedroom practicing. Maybe for live performance if you don't like pedals, could have the FOB near the mic stand or attached to it maybe.

The thing is, the Mustang series seems to be kind of a 'budget' line of amps as far as I can tell. These are great suggestions, but might not be for this line of amps. Which brings us to another suggestion that's been made a few times on the forums: Mustang Pro amps. :D Would you pay a few extra dollars for the FOB?

Strings: Thanks for trying to clarify things for me. You're on the right track with the pic of the key fob. Not talking about playing at gigs or onstage. I mean for practice. If I got a riff stuck in my head and am trying to find the best preset on the amp to do it with, I don't want to go thru 100 presets to find the one I think matches up best. Sure, I have an idea what # the preset is, but I have to stop playing, get out of the chair, and go dial in the preset. With a remote, all I'd do is punch in the number 11, or 56, or 89 or whatever. Just like changing channels on the tv. Our Asiatic partners could probably make this thing for 50 cents and our cost would only be another 100 bucks or so. (Sarcastically Speaking.)

I actually think a $100 difference is realistic. It would take research and development, some changes to the amp hardware, and physical production of the FOB. And we're talking about a $330 amp (Mustang III).
