When I got my MIIIv2, the dealer suggested an Audio Technica CP8201a Mic Impedence Matching Transformer so I could run The MIIIv2's (XLR) line out to my other Amp's Guitar Input (1/4"),which is a Super Champ X2...Now the MIIIv2 does have adjustable level control for the line outs,. But I've read that just running an XLR to 1/4" cable w/o Low to High Impedance transformer is bad news???..Any Fender Amp Tech Guys out there to confirm this/or is there any possibility of overloading/damaging line out/ins of the two amps long term? (Using the transformer inline of course)?

you could run a 1/4" cable from the send on the fx loop of your mustang to the front end of another amp should work fine without a line transformer, the sends on the fx loop are at line level ( I believe ) , It should be ok, I runs the sends of my Mustang V into an ART USB Dual Tube Preamp to play through my studio monitors and have had no probelms, I would just use the send on the fx loop as an output to your other amp, just set the other amp clean and adjust as needed start with the volume on the external amp all the way down and adjust the volume as needed, you shouldn't have any problems, I am not an expert and speak only from the basic knowledge I have acquired through trial and error. the sends will work, but as always proceed at your own risk I am not liable for anything that might go wrong.

Thank you Kreature,..I understand the FX out on Mustang-III (My Amp) is single MONO, Which is cool, for dual MONO Amps, And the USB out involves that pesky "latency" thing, but a neccesary evil for recording to computer....I could run the L/R outs on the M-III to my studio monitors, but then the monitors would be have to be dis-connected from the Audio Inerface, Unless I mike them from the Audio Interface, but then that would be the same as using the USB!!...So I have 3 choices: Playing for practice with 2 Amps, Recording with USB to computer, and Playing Live with 2 or 3 Amps all with the Mustang as the Main Amp..and as far as liability goes...The Label said on those old Beatle Bootleg "World" Records...All Rights Reserved..All Wrong Reversed!

glad you found my response useful., My amp is the mustang V so I have the stereo fx loop, I just leave the sends plugged into my interface, I only have latency when I am running the audio into the computer, if I set the mix on my interface to the left it will play direct through my monitors with no latency, I use the sends to record into my interface, the latency isn't too bad, but to get the sound right I use Impulse responses and cab emulators, anyway good luck and have fun
