That's a shame. You make it sound like a fault with the amp itself, which doesn't seem to be the case. Whereas I empathise with your plight of having a broken amp, it appears (unless I'm mistaken?) you had a perfectly good working amp until you took it apart and broke it? Sorry that happened, but it seems wrong to make a decision about a product (and from your last comment, about a company's entire product line?) based on that.

Oh no! I'm not blaming Fender in any way!!! I really liked the amp the two days I had it before I broke it! What I mean is that I have no Fender equipment in my ownership any more (except from an old stratocaster).

Did you take apart your Strat and try to rack mount that too?

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Good luck!

The Strat works perfectly in a rack. A little heavy to wear around the neck though, so I play it on the floor :)

Now we're going OT. The black one, which I bought used 27 years ago is a Fender, so I am a Fender player :) It's the best sounding strat I have ever had, and have only needed to do minor service like changing bridge, saddle a couple of frets.

The sunburst is a mix of parts. The bridge is Fender :)

Up and running again! :D
I bought another MIII. I had two gigs in a small retaurant where my Marschall cabinets would have competed with the guests for space, so the combo was perfect.
My plan was to rip the CB from the combo and put in my rack MIII, but I liked the combo so much that I'll leave it as it is. The rack idea is still there, so I'm hunting more MIIIs

You can probably get v1 Mustang amps pretty cheap on Craigslist right now. I've seen a few ads in my area where people say "great amp, I have 2 of them". Translation: "I bought a v2 and now I need to sell off my v1"

The mustang 5 does what you want, will give you more power, stereo output and will cost you less than the M3

Why the rack??
Well, my main guitar is a Levinsson with a Fishman bridge. The output jack is in stereo, and the signal is split in two channels in my pedal board. The ”electric guitar signal” feeds one of my tops, which drives a Marshall cabinet with 12"s. The Fishman signal feeds a regular power amp which drives a modified Marshall cabinet with full range speakers. The ”aucustic” amplifier sits in a rack along with an eq, but I had room left since I do not use my transmitter any more. Then came the idea to put an electric guitar amp in the rack, and in that way make a practical box of everything, wires connected, etc… The MIII was cheap, could reduce some of my stomp boxes, and honestly, the girls in the audience could never tell if I play a tube amp or not ☺
