Hi!
I've been using Mustang III for a few months. The firsts days I did a lot of online research about the presets and I found a complete list specifying what real amp have been used to model the preset. However, I did not download that list and right know I am unable to find it.
I look for several topics and some of them (like viewtopic.php?f=27&t=85466) says the list exists, but the link they are suggesting redirect to a non existing fender article :? .

As far as I know, I found these list made by FFXIhealer:
1957 Fender Champ
1957 Fender Deluxe
1957 Fender Twin
1959 Fender Bassman Reissue (4x10)
1965 Fender Princeton Reverb
1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb
1965 Fender Twin Reverb
Fender Super-Sonic (burn channel)
[60's Thrift] 1965 Sears Silvertone Twin Twelve
[British Colour] Orange OR120
[British Watts] Hiwatt DR103
[British '60s] VOX AC30
[British '70s] Marshall 1959SLP
[British '80s] Marshall JCM800
[American 90s] Mesa Dual-Rectifier
[Metal 2000] Peavey 5150

So, anyone know where is the complete list?

Here is the correct link, this list gives preset info, but does not state what amp is being modeled, except for the Fender models.

http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... mplifiers/

as far as I know, Fender is unable to say what model is supposed to be what amp. I have never seen any official word from Fender on this (legal concerns?).

What you have here is a list compiled by forum users to give our 'best guess' at what is being modeled. And I think it's pretty accurate, there aren't many models that are really that debatable because the Fender names give some pretty big hints.

Correct.
there are ways around this tho...
Other companies have made mock names that are easily paralleled to their name-brand counter part.
i.e.
Marshall = Marshmallow
Vox = Ox
Orange = Tangerine
Hiwatt = Higher Watt

... and so forth

I wish Fender would consider this.

Yeah, I thought that if the list was supposed to be at a Fender forum, it would have been deleted just to prevent legal actions.
The thing is that I clearly recall seeing a pdf file like the one Fender provides but with an extra column where there was the real amp model that had been used to create the preset.

Anyway, thank you very much for your fast answer! :)

I'm a little confused. Your original post already lists all the correct "real" amps that correlate to each amp model. By the way, that FFXIhealer thread you referred to is incredibly useful.

If you just mean which amp model is used in each preset, that is available here: http://support.fender.com/manuals/guita ... g3_v.2.pdf

that list is not an official list directly from Fender :idea:

I'd love to be able to actually SEE what that list says w/out straining myself! :?

Is there a clearer image available?

that's the only one I'm aware of. Open it with Internet Explorer and click the View menu, point to Zoom and select 200%.

Note, it doesn't have the translation for the models to real amps, I was just thinking this might be what O.P. remembered finding.

Well, if Fender could use real names of third-party amps, then they would have just used real names. Why would they use mock names in the app and then publish an "official" translation guide? That would make no sense.

That's true, it makes sense. However, they could say that they were trying to make a preset that sounded like (i.e.) a Marshall but without stating that the preset clearly emulates a Marshall, in order words, they could say that their inspiration was a Marshall but that this preset is not a Marshall. I mean, when you use Fender Fuse and you see some amps, some of them are exactly like a Marshall, Orange... and they sound like them.

Thank you, but I've already found this file and it's not the file I saw (although it would be nice to see it in "high" resolution)... or maybe it is and I have a distorted memory of the file :? .
Anyway, I apologize if I'm creating some trouble, but I remember that pdf so clearly that I'm having trouble thinking that I may have made it up :oops: .

nah, I'm sure there is a file out there, but I seriously doubt it came directly from Fender. More likely someone downloaded one of their files and edited it to add the info.
