Hi Guys

Can anyone help with an issue I'm having with the touch wah on the Mustang III (V2) pease? I'm using the EXP-1 expression pedal and have the modulation / sensitivity paremeter assigned to the EXP-1. However, I'm only getting the lovely high wah sound when the volume is quite high on the master of the amp. If I have the guitar/amp at a medium to quiet volume the wah sound more muffled and not as I need it to cut through the mix when I'm playing with the band.

Can anyone suggest any way around this? Is it normal for the wah to sound different depending on the volume? I'm guessing the wah effect reacts to the volume/signal and will therefore differ? Also, what are folks ideal settings for the mustang III using the EXP-1 and the difference between the normal wah and touch wah?

Thanks

The only way I ever used the Touch Wah was without controlling it with the expression pedal. I actually thought that was the purpose of the T-wah - that you can get a wah effect without needing to keep your foot on the pedal, right?

The idea (AFAIK) is to set the wah so it responds to your picking attack. Try to get it so if you pick hard, you get a distinct 'wah' on the note, but if you pick soft, it just sounds like a wah pedal that's left in the heel position.

Try downloading these presets I created for the T-wah, and look at the settings. You shouldn't need the expression pedal at all with these presets:

Strings T-Wah 1

Strings T-Wah 2

Thanks Strings - that's awesome! Really appreciate your help and the presets. I've never downloaded a preset before, so will attempt to do so with these :)

Will report back asap.
