Hi Guys

Just setting up my EXP-1 pedal settings with the Mustang III (v2) and wondered what impact the high quality setting on the touch wah has on the sound, as can't really hear any difference? Are there any disadvantages to having this setting on?

Also, I'm struggling to get much expression and "wah wah" sound when using the pedal. It sounds decent but the pedal doesn't really give it that real vocal "wah" sound when pressed. As I say, I currently have the touch wah assigned and the sensitivity parameter linked to the EXP-1. Can anyone tell me the advantages of the wah over the touch wah or what situations they use each?

Any advice welcome!

Thanks
Hayz

Q relates to the resonant frequency, nothing to do with quality
If you imagine with a wah you are sweeping a tone control over the sound.
That tone control can be shaped like a broad soft shaped hill, or it can be shaped like a steep edged mountain peak.
Q controls the steepness of the tonal boost
hi q : mountain peak
lo q: smooth hill

foot on pedal then moves that central frequency up and down the range

glad to help - I don't have an exp pedal so no use on your other one !

Oh.. I just checked wikipedia and apparently Q does stand for quality.. but a technical type of quality.. "the quality of the oscillation of a pendulum like body " ..phew
(I'm an analog synth person and Q appears on synth filters)
