Hey, sorry, I really didn't mean it that way at all. Good to hear you're fixed up, you made a great amp choice, enjoy it! :D

Hello, I am having this same issue. I have tried different cords, different guitars, etc. Nothing seems to work. I realize the thread starter re-calibrated his expression pedal. I don't have that pedal. I have a 4 button footswitch and a 2 button footswitch. Please help?

Do a Factory Reset.
What Model & Verison Mustang do you have?
What Firmware Version is it running?

It's a Mustang III and I haven't upgraded to the latest software (2.2?) as of yet. I was planning to update that tonight. Mine doesn't start that squealing until I've been playing for a little while at band practice and my volume is up to 6 or 7. I don't turn it that loud at home because I don't want to piss of my neighbors.

Done a Factory Preset recently?

From other's posts here on these Forums, make sure you download the current 2104 Mustang firmware from the Fender site.

Users have posted that FUSE overwrote their amps' firmware with older firmware! Apparently, FUSE is older than the latest 2014 firmware. FUSE needs to be directed to your local downloaded copy of the latest firmware so it uses the more current firmware version instead of what FUSE has.

Note: I have not done the firmware update! My Mustangs came with the latest firmware. There may be other "got yahs" in the process.

I just updated because Fuse automatically asked for it. I looked under utility on my amp and it says Mustang III Version 1.10. Does that mean that mine is an older one (purchased in 2011, if I recall correctly) that doesn't get that newest firmware?

Browse to Fender's Support area for your MIII to get the latest firmware.

If your MIII amp is a v.2 the latest firmware you should install is version 2.2.

If your MIII amp is not a v.2 the latest firmware is 1.10.

The latest FUSE version is 2.70.

Contrary to what I thought, the current Mustang v.2 Version 2.2 firmware may be older than 2014. I am unable to find any specific version date information on Fender's site. The support area info only states that version 2.2 is the current version.

Nonetheless, when using Remuda to interrogate the amp's firmware the date of July 26, 2013 is displayed!

I'm not a frequent FUSE user. Does FUSE display the amp's firmware release date?

The File Mgr utility on this Samsung Android Tablet is not as robust as that on my PC. Thus when I attempted to view the original file date of the version 2.2 firmware contained in the downloadable zip file from Fender's site, this android tablet's file manager does not present the original file date. Does anyone have a moment to look at this with their PC?
