Hi there,

I'd have to let my Fender Mustang in my car during the day and it is -25C degrees over here these days.

Somebody told me that the amplifier won't suffer with this cold. He suggested to let it heat to the room temperature before using it.

Do you agree?

Thanks again.

Yes, let it slowly warm to room temp first. I would be worried about the speaker cone, the electronics should be OK. The covering at that temp will be very brittle. If you have a garage, move it into there first and wait several hours before you bring it in the house.

It's not good but sometimes ya can't help it.
I've always responded to this by saying," would you like to be left in the car?"

why does it have to stay in the car? Will you be at work? No option to stick it inside somewhere?

Yes, work. I'd prefer not to bring it with me.

seems to me the problem would be water condensation that might happen when it warms up. I recently took my guitar on a flight and checked it with my baggage in a flight case. When I arrived at my destination, the first thing I did was take the guitar out. It was covered in condensation due to going from warm to cold and then back to warm.

Then, it appears it's not recommanded to expose it to cold or heat. I'll find a way to keep it to an appropriate temperature.

Thanks.
