Hi!

I love my Mustang III v1!

I would like to use the pitch shifter mod to get one octave down. I would like to play seven nation army and the intro is played by a guitar with an octaver effect.

I tried the pitch shifter but to be honest i don´t get the settings because i don´t understand them.

It plays both the normal tone and a lower tone but i would like to only play the lower tone one octave down.

It would be great if someone could help me to get the correct settings. Perhaps someone already has the settings and could post them here?

Thanks for your help,
Thomas

That is the best you will be able to do with the V1 Mustangs pitch shifter, there is no way to have the normal tone out of the mix, You will need to use an actual octave pedal to achieve the effect you are after

no problem, I like my amp as well but I agree with you that it would be nice to have a true octaver effect, the pitch shift with the regular pitch overtone is useful but it would be nice to have a wet/dry knob to adjust the effect

Well, yes, me too. It seems that V2 (at least Mustang i v2) is capable of doing so:

the V2 has what they call an intelligent pitch shifter, unfortunately my amp is version 1, oh well, it still rocks none the less
