Hi all,

This might be me being nitpicky, but I noticed when using the built in fuzz pedal I get a fizzy sound almost like its too trebly. Granted I am using a telecaster in the bridge position, I have reduced the High EQ to 1.0 (not active) and it is still fizzy. Is this just the nature of that particular emulated pedal? No issues otherwise with this amp, but wanted to check in.

I can't use the other fuzz pedal that is provided because I have bad power in my apartment and I get a loud buzz using it (makes sense though, it is a Big Muff clone!).

Would love some guidance on how to remedy, if possible. I am using the British 60s model by the way.

(PS, LOVE this amp. I have been a tube guy for ages but since I am in an apartment, this offers everything I could ever ask for).

-Matt

I’ve noticed the same thing.

What I do when I use the Fuzz stomp is lower the Octave knob all the way down and nearly all the way down on the High knob as well. Gets a little closer to a Fuzz Face sound to my ears but I don’t think this is what its modeled after the obvious reason being the FF only has 2 Knobs. Not sure what sort of music your into. I’m a bit of a Gilmour geek and I’ve found the Blackbox (Rat) actually can do a decent fuzz face if you back down the gain and get the right balance with the Gain and Volume.

Glad to know it's not just me! Thanks.

I specifically set up the fuzz pedal to get close to this sound:

I will try to mess with the RAT clone and see if I can get closer. These amps are so versatile it is hard to figure out where to start. Right now I have been using a clean AC30ish sound which gets close to the band above's gritty clean sound.

I do enjoy Gilmour so good to know the Blackbox can get close!
