Hi, I have got a Mustang Floor for christmas. :D
Is it possible to use the headphones output jack to connect the Mustang Floor with a PA system (instead of using the unbalanced out or xlr out) ?
I am not sure and users guide does not say anything about this way to connect...

The question back to you is: why do you want to do this? The normal output sockets (unbalanced jacks, balanced XLR) are intended for exactly what you want to do, connecting to a PA system input (amongst other things). Why do you think those connections aren't appropriate for your particular PA system? The answer to that question will help determine if using the headphone socket is a sensible alternative.

Hi, my intention is to use only one cable (on one side a headphone jack and on the other side a "Y" with two mono jacks) instead of two cables...

Hi vedra,

Like scott-uk, we would also suggest that you connect to a sound system via the balanced XLR outputs. Balanced audio is always the way to go whenever possible. Please check out the possibilities of connecting this way. And let us know if we can assist in any way.

Best Regards,

OK, I don't think (and this is just my opinion) that's a good reason for not using the appropriate connections for the purpose.

If you want a mono signal, then you can configure the M-Floor to do that on just one of its output sockets. Then you just need a mono cable, with one connection at the M-Floor and one connection into your PA.

If you want to use both channels (left and right) into a stereo input on your PA, then you would be better using two cables into the appropriate output sockets on the M-Floor. Balanced XLR or unbalanced jacks, as you prefer (and to match what your PA has).

If you really, really, really must have only one cable but still want both channels, then I'd suggest using a stereo cable with TRS connectors (ie stereo jack plugs) at each end; then use a short stereo-socket-to-two-mono-jack-plugs adapter to connect to the two outputs on your M-Floor, and whatever connector you need at the PA end.

Just my opinion...

Yeah, for what it's worth, I've been connecting my Mustang Floor to the PA with one XLR cable for quite awhile now. Look at the info on the Utility Menus on page 7 of the manual. If you set the Output Configure to Mono, you can independently set up the left and right outputs - both the 1/4" outs and the XLR outs. Set up one side for out to PA and adjust it so it sounds good to you. Easy.
