My son received a Mustang III V2 amp for Christmas...everything was working fine earlier this morning. He plugged the USB in to the computer and the amp...then unplugged them.

He came downstairs to let me know that the display screen is no longer showing any of the presets...the data wheel still appears to be "changing" the presets, but it's not showing anything in the display window.

Can anyone please help. I have a very sad 12 year old and I have no idea how to fix it! He's afraid he somehow "broke" it but I can't imagine that's the case...

Thanks in advance.

you might have to use that warranty, depending on where you bought it you may be able to exchange it at the store tomorrow for another one, these are good amplifiers, I have had mine for a year with no problems, I would take it back and exchange it for one that works right

LCD contrast, didn't think of that one as I never adjust mine and I never use the little LCD screen, may amp sits up high on a TV stand and I have my foot switches on my desk in front of my computer, so yeah you should definitely check the LCD contrast,

From the manual:

"Factory Restore
You can restore your Mustang amplifier to the original factory
settings if desired. All user presets will be erased!
To restore the Mustang amplifier to factory settings:
1. Turn the amplifier OFF.
2. Press and hold the EXIT button while turning the amplifier
ON. Continue holding the EXIT button until it is no longer
illuminated.
! The FACTORY RESTORE function will erase all user
modified presets. It will also restore any effect selections
that have been modified using Fender FUSE software."
