I recently got the Mustang iv v2. I love the clean presets. But most of the presets with distortion sound really fuzzy. I am trying to record by micing this amp. I am attempting to get a deeper and less fuzzy sound. (Much like Breaking Benjamin's sound in Dear Agony the album). Any advice on how to get that sound from this amp/software?
Thanks
-Cody

What kinda guitar and pickups are you using? I have a Blacktop Strat with a Dimarzio X2N in the bridge and I can get those kinda tones with a preset I made with the 65 Deluxe amp selection with the bass up, 65 Reverb and an old ProCo Rat Pedal I have going into the amp...

Might be able to use one of the overdrives in the fuse and a chorus of some sort, sounds like a lot of the sound is coming from double tracking, so a chorus would could mimic that..

You may have to fine-adjust the tone a little bit when miking it up. Sit down close to the amp and play (the microphone will hear the sound this way), when you stand up you will hear less treble, fine adjust it so it sounds good when the speaker is closer to your ears. Stand up, raise the volume and \m/ till the walls starts cracking!
