Can anyone help with where to get the usb cable for a mustang 111 (pr826)? Guitar center doesn't have one and couldn't help with a part #. I've tried to search it in the parts section on fender site but no luck.

it's just a standard USB 2.0 cable, USB A to mini B. you can find them anywhere, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Amazon etc..

I wouldn't hurt to get one with a ferrite core (the cylindrical bump on the cable) to assist in controlling noise. Example:

that is if you are using the USB for recording, I find that the USB recording doesn't sound authentic, too compressed so i usually mic my amp or run the sends into my audio interface, sounds better than the USB audio from the amp, but even though I just use a standard cable and there is no noise over the USB, just doesn't sound authentic enough to make it worth using for that purpose, there are much better ways to record the true sound of the amp in my opinion, but to each their own

Thanks the answers, definitely helpful. I did go and purchase one. I knew that I had seen that same configuration (5 pin) on something else, now I know it was the wireless controller for the PS3.

yeah it is a fairly common connection, be it PS3 an Mp3 Player or a camera, there are several devices that use this same cable, glad you found it easy
