I have just noticed noticed for sale on eBay some mustang 3v2's in bright red and Must 2v2's in white limited edition's for sale, gthe white one looks OK but not so struck on the red. I really wish fender would do a 3 &4 in a vintage tweed colour wrap that would be cool . please Fender :D

I prefer pretty much everything in black including guitars and cars. Can't really go by me.

Hmmm, so there's nothing on the Fender website about new colours, and nothing (that I've seen) from proper music retailers about the new colours. The only place they appear is on ebay (which of course only ever has genuine items from reputable sellers...). These amps appear to come from a company called Tundra Music (at least the ebay listing I found) - yet do not appear on Tundra's own website.

Maybe Fender can reply here please and comment on whether these are genuine Fender items, unofficial copies - or even if they exist at all.

I love my carbon fiber but the white is also really nice!

Scott - I saw the red ones on a legit UK music gear site over the summer - GAK maybe - limited edition to get them back in the press probably.
...could be good if the white one worked with iPad

Fender seems to be putting out new colors on many of their amps. Most of them look quite stunning in person. I'm cool with them giving the Mustang line this treatment.

All black is boring.

I LIKE that red one- a LOT!

I would trade even my Mustang V half-stack for a Mustang V half-stack in vintage tweed! Or maybe alligator!

I assume these "special editions" are functionally the exact same amp just with new colors? (When the Fender Excelsior came out with special edition colors, they also upgraded the speakers.)

Fair 'nuff. Although searching the (UK) Fender site, they hardly make it obvious. The red one doesn't come up with the normal Mustangs. The only way I could find it was to search 'all amps' then it was on its own at the end of the last page...

mhh..
I'd rather broadly that Fender does not waste time with these variants aesthetic and would work to add new effects models and / or amplifiers, various improvements as software updates (extreme case even if you do pay something) ... among other things, the white variant seems to be rather "dazzling" and should get dirty just looking at him.
The tweed version would be good but I do not put myself to buy back M3 v2 only for a possible aesthetic prettier.

It's always nice to have different options. Iv got the m3 v1 with a bit of the fizz sound on it so a Tweed v2 or v3 when it comes out would do it for me providing the sounds were all good & no fizz, and yes the white looks nice now but when any dirt & dust starts to get in the vinyl's grain it would not be pretty. If you copy this link there is a a pictue of a v1 & a classic tweed amp & you will see the pattern is very close to the carbon look on the v1. viewtopic.php?t=84487
