yes, because anything that is just a tablet is not supported, there's currently no way around that.

Although I was not able to run the fuse software on my iPad, I was able to record audio on my iPad Air and iPod 5th gen. using a lightning to Female USB adapter, available from Apple. And a USB to mini USB cable to go into the Fender Mustang lll v2 amp.
I used GarageBand and set the input to record stereo.
It worked like a charm.
There are some interesting idiosyncrasies, revolving around Recording from the US port, when you change the setting for the aux send/return, normal or looper modes.
Whether or not the headphones are plugged in, can affect the audio signal going to the USB port.
So, at least you can record audio from the USB port on the Fender Mustang amp, to an iPad air, or iPod.

In the future…
How about a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into the USB port on the fender Mustang and can be addressed from fuse software on an iPad/iPod?
I would pay for that.
Love my Fender Mustang, would really appreciate additional iPad/Pod control/functionality.

I know, it's such a bummer.

It would be interesting to see future versions of the Mustang series with Bluetooth to connect to these devices along with a free app

I hope we're not the only two people asking for this :-)
Seems like something that could be developed by a third-party, and could be used on a variety of devices.
