one thing to note is that the M Floor does not have a "real" fx loop in the way other modellers have, what it has (labeled as fx-send and return) is a switchable, pre-everything connection that you can turn on or off pushing the "insert" stomp button, in other words the asterisk marks the point of insertion for the fx-loop on the mustang floor:

inst.input -- * -- PRE-effects -- amp emulation -- post effects -- cab emulation -- output

you can also obviously connect some pedals between the output of the floor and the input of the PA if you like

in the case of the V1 mustang the fx-loop position is as follows:

inst.input -- PRE-effects -- amp emulation -- post effects -- cab emulation --*-- speaker

in the case of the V2 mustang the fx-loop position is switchable between these two possibilities

inst.input -- PRE-effects -- amp emulation -*- post effects -- cab emulation -*- speaker

jedi,

for the V2 Mustang amps, is one of the fx-loop positions really before the post-effects? I thought it was after the post-effects but before the cab emulation? (with the other option being after the cab emulation as you say)

Scott,

1 - I'm not jedi yet, I'm jedi-to-be :)
2 - You are right, I made a mistake (see point 1 on the reason why). Seriously thanks for pointing out the error. Here's the corrected version:

fx-loop on the mustang floor:

inst.input -- * -- PRE-effects -- amp emulation -- post effects -- cab emulation -- output

fx-loop on V1 amps

inst.input -- PRE-effects -- amp emulation -- post effects -- cab emulation --*-- speaker

fx-loop on V2 amps (switchable via util menu)

inst.input -- PRE-effects -- amp emulation -- post effects -*- cab emulation -*- speaker

It looks like the Mustang Floor is not set up to use the 4CM.
