Hi all, I do not know if this has been covered,I cannot find it but I wonder if anyone can help.

I purchased a Mustang III V1 and now there is a v2,what I want to know is, when you look on fender fuse for other presets can the v2 preset be used on the v1?
Hope you can understand what I mean,
thanks for any info on the subject. :)

I do remember a discussion awhile back dealing with this. V2 has 5 extra amp models that v1 doesn't. I can't remember if presets using these simply wouldn't work, or if Fuse changed the amp model to something it does have...

Hmm- now I gotta go archiving...

Hi there, wondering if you can help us, just bought a Mustang IV (and also a III). I want to bypass the presets so I can use my own pedals through the amp only. Any suggestions on how to do this?
Thanks for any assistance

If you select a V2 preset that uses an amp model or effect that is exclusive to V2 on a V1 amp, the tone will not be right. If I understand correctly, a V1 amp model will be substituted for the exclusive V2 model and any exclusive V2 effects will just be left out altogether on the V1.

The Mustang is a modeling amp, so you have to use one of the included amp models but you do not have to use any of the onboard stomps and effects.

First, the last several presets out of the 100 are the basic amp models with no added effects... you can select one and run your pedals through it.

Also, all of the presets are based off of an amp model. You can just edit whatever preset you like to remove all effects and then run your pedals through it.
