Just thought I would post this for those that may be interested and not a KVR member.

VB-Audio Software just released their "HiFi Cable & ASIO Bridge" virtal driver for free.

What does it do? Well, it allows you to have more than one audio interface or the output of an audio software available in your DAW simultaniously on seperate channels (up to 8) so that you can record them at the same time on seperate tracks.

For instance, you could have your Mustang's USB output (no need for the ASIO driver), a USB microphone, the output of an audio editor program, the output of an audio player program, the output of your CD/DVD device etc. all assigned to different tracks (up to 8) in your DAW and record them at the same time.

I am not certain bc I don't use Linux but, I believe this is similar to JACK.

If you make a donation, you get 2 more channels.

Haven't really tried it myself but it looks promising.

Anyway, hope that some of you find it useful. Here's the link:

Hi p90sdude,

Thanks for the interesting post. Have you done any comparison when using this driver in terms of latency issues against ASIO?

Best Regards,

Hmm, thanks for the heads up! Looks quite interesting.

Overcommitted on time at the moment, but I've downloaded and hope to take it for a spin eventually.

No, not yet. Like PITA I have a lot of irons in the fire ATM - heck haven't even played more than a couple hours in the last 3 weeks :(

I just saw it in the latest KVR news letter and thought it would be of paticular use to Mustang owners bc of the one way USB.

Probably won't get much time until after Thanksgiving (US).
