Hi I have just bought a Fender BluesDeluxe amp and also a Mustang Floor Multieffect and have installed Fender Fuse on my iMac.
Now I have seen and downloaded some presets I like…
And I marked one and said "Save preset to amp" and selected position 00 since that preset that was there didn't really go along in my taste…

Now that worked and I now have my downloaded preset there…
However if I would like to get the original preset back how would I do that??
I noticed on the iMac that in the folder "Fender->FUSE->AmpData" theres a number of presets named in style:MU_01.fuse
Are those the original ones that came with the mustang floor??
Can I get any of them back if I have exchanged them with downloaded presets or is it only possible to restore all doing the factory reset thing??

Also I wonder..Is the only way of saving a downloaded preset to the mustang floor by replacing one of the factory presets??

And I also would like to know if theres any way of rearranging the factory presets so that similar effects lie next to each other in number??

Ok a lot of questions but any help and answer would be much appreciated..
thanks and happy halloween. :D :D :D

Hi, all these questions have been asked/answered/discussed many times before on this forum, and there is also product documentation and articles on the Fender support website. So I won't type unnecessarily and repeat it all here, I'll just give you a few pointers that should help you search for the wealth of existing information.

When you save a preset to the amp, it overwrites the previous preset. The old preset isn't saved anywhere. In particular, no, FUSE doesn't come with a collection of all the original factory presets. I don't know what's in the 'Ampdata' folder on a MAC.

I realise it's now after-the-event for you, but the best thing to do here is to backup the original presets before you change anything. You can either save (using FUSE) individual presets from the amp to your PC; or you can do a backup of all 100 presets. The advantage of the latter is that you save everything with one operation. The disadvantage is that you have to restore everything, you can't select individual presets in this case. (OK, you probably can if you go under-the-hood of FUSE and its files, but that's beyond this discussion)

Second option: Fender used to make a ZIP download available, containing all the factory presets. I don't know whether they still do, or if it's been updated for the V2 amps. If you can find that, you can import the presets into FUSE on your PC, and then upload selected presets to your amp.

Third option is to do a factory reset of the amp; but that will of course return all presets to their factory settings, you can't just restory a single preset.

Fourth option is to find someone else with a Mustang amp who still has the particular factory preset you want, and get them to save that to their PC then give you a copy.

The Mustangs have 100 presets. They are all preloaded with 'factory' sounds. You can change / overwrite any of them. You can't create additional presets beyond those 100. So yes, any change you make will replace one of the existing presets.

Yes it is possible to change the preset order. There's no automatic 'bulk' way to do it, and no nice drag-n-drop GUI. It's a manual process whereby you move the presets one at a time. See this recent topic:

To add,

If you do do a factory restore, I would do a backup immediately and then go to the backup folder in Fuse and label the folder “Factory Presets” or something to that effect. That way if you do decide you want one of the original presets back, you can just load it from that folder rather than having to restore the entire amp.
