I am having problems with my Mustang III v. 1. I will choose a sound. Within about 45 seconds the red save light turns on. Sound settings change on the LCD, even though I have touched nothing. I have reset the amp and it keeps coming back. Sometimes the amp is fine for a few weeks, then suddenly the gremlin rears its head. I reset it the amp. Sometimes that helps, sometimes it doesn't. I have the latest firmware. Fender Support, any ideas what to do?

Do you have an EXP-1 pedal? I've noticed similar things happen since I got one. The 'SAVE' light comes on for no reason. It shouldn't happen, it's an irritation, I just ignore it.

No pedal. Thanks for inquiring. I can't ignore it as it totally changes the settings of the amp.

This has been an on again/off again problem that has been going on 15 months. I was resigned to thinking I would just turn the amp into a speaker cabinet after a few more problematic months. Then the amp started playing nice. Now it is acting up its worst. :(

if it's still under warranty, I'd bring it in for service.

Sounds like a button might be sticking.

I had this problem recently... I changed the cable and it has not appeared since then...

I suggest you to try a cable switch, may be it solve.

Also try to unplug the usb.

Let us know.

The shop I bought it from said they were only licensed to sell Fender products, not to do warranty work. Am I screwed?
