Finally got around to dl your marshall preset Cap'n .. and I find it's v2 only ... mwaah...
Any other Marshally good'uns for v1 ?

(been enjoying the Champ recently - only gave it a try because of this forum - wow, just as everyone says - really different and got something going on..)

Hmmm. I was under the impression that as long as I didn’t use any V2 Stomps or Amp models, presets would translate. I used the Brit 70s for this with the 2x12C Cab and all effects are post gain. Compressor, Sine Chorus, Tape Delay, and Large Plate Reverb. I’m at work but I have Fuse on my work computer to putz around with so if you like I can post settings. Does the V1 have both the compressor and Simple comp? I wonder if that is what’s making it incompatible.

Hey there Captainc
yup V1 has simple comp and expanded comp -
actually your comments on the settings are already enough for some experimenting
though I guess there's plenty of fine balancing in there..

thanks

Here's a screen grab of how i have things set. I'm actually thinking of sticking my old Lace Transensor back in the Bridge PUP position... I'm really missing that PUP with the marshally stuff.

Ok, finally i've take some time to test this preset.

Really sweet, sound like a Marshall kicked by a tubescreamer.

I can confirm it is fully OK with my MI v1, so go get it! (i used the import function)

Since i like it, everybody likes it, i'm going to put this preset in the Unofficial Guide!

Thank you!

I love my mustang! :)

Sounds great, thanks for the endorsement mordor. This preset pairs real nicely with an additional OD pedal. I’m using an OCD clone in front of it and it really sounds great if you just want to push it a little harder.

.. and here's another satisfied customer
Reason I couldn't get the v2 preset to work before was I needed to update Fuse ! (doh)
So now I did that I tried out most of your presets Captainc - you really know your stuff and how to set up great tones..
Thanks!

Thanks markcc.

Really glad you like the preset and really appreciate the positive feedback. I’m slowly but surely getting my all my preset slots filled with “keepers”. Next on my list of tones to try and mimic is probably Mike Campbell and will also try and revisit Alex Lifeson. I have a La Villa Strangiato patch (one of my favorite guitar solos of all time) up on Fuse but I think I can do much better than what I previously had done now that I’m getting to know the ins and outs of this amp. I have a strat with Vintage Single coils so early Alex Lifeson is a bit of a chase, but worth the effort. This is truly a magnificent amp.

Cheers
