I'll download that and check it out thanks. I hear you on the external pedals. My motivation for external pedals is twofold. First, because you can only have one stomp so if i want a Fuzz before a boost, or compressor with OD i'm stuck. This way I can use my muff clone and use the Ranger Booster or OD after it and it works well. Secondly, since i have a mustang II, i only get two switchable presets. So this allows me to change up a preset with what i have. I get tired of tweaking in fuse so i'm happy as a clam to have everything set to clean, not use too many different amps and just have a couple of real world stomps at my feet. I don't play in bands anymore so don't need all the extra options at this time and i have a couple of buddys that i write music for fun so if we do get into one of the studios at work, i can worry about extra presets then and there but it would be mic'd anyway and wouldn't really need a all the foot switching options that would be more suited for live. Maybe that was more than two folds...

HIO: what's your pedal that sounds good through the Mustang?

Radial Engineering Tonebone Classic. I also have the Hot British which has one more gain stage which sounds good but has just a tad too much high gain for my taste along with a little more noise. The Classic is quiet but roars and sounds great going through clean settings on amps like the Twin, Deluxe, Princeton, etc.

I can live with that tone and it is surprisingly similar to what I want and have. I seem to get comfortably numb with that sound along with improvisational soloing. It is kind of like being in one of my flying dreams which are really cool and I tend to be afraid of heights, but shouldn't everybody?
