I am new so hello to one and all. I love my FMFloor. I am going to use for my entire rig (along with a Cry Baby Wah and a BBE Maximizer Stomp), power it with a older Classic 60/60 Peavey amp to push a 4x12 cabinet. My question pertains to the actual inboard set up. Would I be better off using presets for everything or using it in the individual effects mode. I almost have to use presets right? As I intend on using the FMFloor for the amp modeling as well? (Because there is no amp to use for the overdriven sounds)?
The good news is I only need 3-5 presets. For instance, I programmed a killer heavy rythum sound. And then for solos I tweaked that settings eq a bit, added some delay and more volume to boost the signal. So that's two of the 3-5 presets I would use. I have never owned a multi effects/amp mod unit before. Am I going about this the best way? Just looking for some suggestions...

I setup the MF's presets (00, 01, etc) as separate amps (00=SuperSonic, 01=Bassman, etc).

In each preset's "Fx Select" ("Red light" mode) I added the Stomp, Mod, Delay, Reverb effects I need for that particular amp model. So in "Fx Select" mode when playing "live" I can turn off/on each of the effects. Sometimes I add external effects as well.

Boosting volume with "onboard" effects is done by using one of the MF's "Stomp" (Dist, Fuzz, Comp) effects in either Pre or Post Gain position. For High Gain amp models the "Stomp" effect in "Post Gain" position allows for better volume boost. The FUSE software on a pc connected to the MF via USB makes this setup by "drag & drop" fairly simple.

Looks like your using this sample setup approach: preset 00=SuperSonic, 01=SuperSonic+reverb, 02=SuperSonic+Delay, etc.

It will be interesting to see how others here in the Forum setup their MFs for "live" use.

Great idea to get a thread discussing this topic.

As a new MF owner/user I am still struggling to sort out the best way of dealing with the issue of using the unit in a gig environment. I've used it at one gig so far, on that occasion I used 3 or 4 presets that I programmed myself. This worked OK, but I'm constantly thinking about new ways to utilise the versatility of the MF.

That's about the only input that I can give at present, I'll keep looking at this thread and throwing in any comments that I may have.
