I just recently bought a Mustang Floor and had previously owned a Mustang III V1 without the fizz issue and dug but didn't like the foot control format. I'm a midi kind of operator. So I sold it and bought the holy grail Axe-Fx II and MFC 101 which is absolutely awesome! But believe it or not I really dig this Mustang Floor just as much because it sounds so good and it has been so much easier to dial in an instant tone I like. I don't get, how such a cheaper product can be so inspiring and fun compared to the big guns. I have owned every modeling devise out there since the ART SGX series, Roctron,Digitech,Yamaha,Johnson,Valvetronix,Peavey,Line 6,Kemper, Fractal Audio, and everything in between and this little Devil of a Pedal has caught my attention for sure! Fender has done some magic with their modeling in this unit despite what other reviewers think. For $150.00 from GC on a clearance deal I couldn't beat this with a pissed off Rattle Snake. I actually have bought two just for backup in case Fender decides to discontinue this model and if they upgrade it I will probably buy one of those too!

I fully agree! I've had so many multi fx boards, and Fender nailed it! Now to make back about 2 grand selling my other pedals on ebay. Thank you Fender for saving our wallets, and tickling our ears! Great job!

Nice! I am waiting until Fender fixes the power supply until I purchase some version of the Mustang Floor. I refuse to use that puny little thing during a gig. If they fix that in a new version, I will buy. Until then, there's no way.

I found an equivalent power supply that's built like Fort Knox that I use with mine. I'll check what kind it is and send you the link. They also make cable coil that fits around any cord for protection and all also hum assistance.

If I hd my druthers, I wish Fender would make the mustang floor as solid as the line 6 pod hd500 I had for over a year. The build was perfect. But, Fender smokes pod on tone and ease of use.

I love my Mustang Floor. I use it on the clean setting of a 15 watt Ibanez Tube Screamer combo tube amp, and loop in a digitech harmonizer. I also connect a crybaby wah between my guitar and the floor. This set up gives me everything I need. I mike it up with a Sennheiser 960 and it sounds huge coming out of the PA.

I use about ten presets with my band, but the option for more is welcome. It's a very versatile piece. I personally don't understand why one would buy thousands of dollars on foot pedals when all you need is this $200 pedal board. The Floor is awesome.

The only thing I HATE is the flimsy power supply--does Fender offer a better one for the floor? I'm really afraid this thing is gonna fall apart if it gets stepped on.

If you can find a decent electrical supply store in your area you can easily configure a solid and sturdy power supply replacement.

I own a very old Morley Volume Wah and it takes two 9 volt batteries or a power supply from 12-18 volts. Using batteries it sounded one way and the first power supply I bought sounded another way. Then I put together this hugely massive 18 volt power supply using adapters and such and this Wah became a beast with the best Wah sound ever.

Make sure though that you get the *exact* voltage for the Floor with the right connector or you will be Floor-less.

FYI - Make sure the "aftermarket" power adapter's Barrel connector is 5.5mm outside & 2.5mm inside.

So based on these replies, Fender does not offer a better power supply for the floor? Why did they skimp on this? It's like putting regular gas in a racecar. Has anyone else had luck finding a better power supply for their floor?

Because they wanted to make the Floor affordable to most everyone and so they could sell a ton of them. No big deal, buy a better one or encase the one you have with titanium. Also, cable cord covers are your friend.

I was also thinking about getting the mustang floor to replace my digitech gnx3,my gnx3 has some good fender clean and overdrive tones but i just do not care for the recto metal model anymore,it is too digital sounding when compared to my peavey vypyr 75's mesa recto model that sounds great to me!

I also have a mustang V head going into a line 6 4x12 spider cab that sounds pretty good for my live setup but i also need some good metal tones for direct recording in my studio setup that is also in the same room with my live setup,i would also use the mustang floor(if i decide to buy one)as part of my live setup.

My current floorboard setup has my gnx3 going into the effects send return loop on my boss gt-3 and the gt-3 output goes to the return loop input of my laney gh120 solid state head connected to my marshall 4x12 jcm 1960a cab.

Do you guys think the mustang floor would be a good replacement for my digitech gnx3 and would it also give me some good metal tones for direct recording?

I also play blues and i am pretty sure the fender clean and overdrive tones should sound good for direct recording with the mustang floor.

I am also very interested in getting a Mustang Floor.
Maybe someone can answer this question for me, is the MF a true bypass?

I would like to have it hooked up to one of my amps to run the effects, but at some point I would like to turn it off and just play the amp distortion, is this possible?
